Dung-pop & Grass-cake

Saw this dung shaped lollipop in one of those Japanese sushi bar. Kinda cute. Got it for $6 HKD. I've only realised that its coke favoured after I've put it in my mouth. Thought that it was chocolate or coffee... (Btw, its about the size of your pinky's nail... erm... something like htat)

There's also this kinda small little rice cakes which they call "草餅". Think it is known as grass cakes in English... (Do we need the "Japanese" infront?) Kinda soft and squeezy and there's some kinda cream fruit fillings inside which taste kinda ... well ... artifical? Anyway, there's honeydew and strawberry to choose from and a packet of 8 costs 32 HKD.

黑與白

還記得有一個算命的跟我講和我配的顔色是黑與白, 然後還說那些五顔六色的東西不適合我
好奇怪哦, 爲什麽算命的可以算到你跟哪一種顔色配或不配的嗎?
... 真的是第一次聽到這種算命法哦...

Mensa AGM (annual general meeting)

Today is Hong Kong mensa's annual general meeting. Nothing much happened there. Trivial matters such as finance status (wow, HKmensa has around 300k HKD in their bank account), words of thanks, next year's mensa committee's membership (the dudes who bosses around), and some close-to-everyday discussions are being explained and discussed. I've sat through the whole of the meeting without saying a word (I still feel alienated in mensa) except for the last discussion for which I will elaborate slightly later. Alright, the membership card!

Not really much of a card right? Doesn't really have much use of this card except for the proof of your mensan status. I thought for quite some time that they will send the membership card to me by mail, which they've stated in the membership application form (under the address section). Well, it's our duty to ensure that the mail containing our membership card arrives, right? And if they had the intention to issue the card in the meeting, why put such a misleading statement on the form? Worse still, the people in the meeting are complaining about why we are asking for our membership cards and all =.=... Oh well, the only word which I've said in the meeting is that the membership card issuing proceedures are far too misleading. After the meeting, they went for the dinner, and I went home. Well, would have gone to the dinner if I had known more people... guess it's time to mix around and talk more rot on their forum~ Oh and I've heard that the membership card is different each year. Wonder what design it is next year? Hope that they have some kind of card designing competition and stuff, would be cool~

八卦

剛剛跟一個網友講完話, 而也因爲某些事被他叫了我一聲無聊.
有時候我在想, 無聊跟八卦也是件人之常情的事吧?
怎麽說好呢......
仲而然之, 每個正常人都會在某些程度上對某些事有一定的 "求知欲" 吧?
要不然, 報紙和雜誌那裏可能賣得那麽好啊?

還記得我這幾次跟我小學的朋友出去, 他們的話題都會圍繞著 "我們小學同學在幹什麽?" 這話題裏...
而他們怎麽知道別人在干麽呢? 也不就是以一傳十, 十傳百的方式了來偷料的~
或是在facebook裏看到的...
哎! 要不是他們八卦, 誰會去管某某在干麽啊? 時間多得是是嗎? 吃飽飯沒事干啞?
所以說嗎, 人天生就是八~

要不然我也不會貿貿然地去加入什麽門薩會啦~~~ 真的以爲我錢多得很啊?

A week in SG

Day 1 - Friday, 2nd of May (day of arrivial)

Arrived at around 11:50, reached Changi Airport MRT Station at around 12:05. Got on the last train to Tanah Merah only to realize that there's no train to the city area (for which I lived), and the only other train goes to Tampines. Boarded the train going to Tampines in hope of a better chance of flagging a taxi. During the short train ride, it was only then that I've realized how inconsiderate Singaporeans are. I was pulling the trolly-luggage along and walking to the end of the train, and none of the people moved when it is obvious that their legs are blocking the way (with two legs out stretched in a V-shape manner). Oh well, my luggage was only 8kg so it was easy to lift the whole thing and all... but what if it was 30~40 kg? Reached Tampines at around 12:30 (train frequency is low), just to realise that there are no taxi stands in the whole of Tampines (that's what the guy at the control station told me). Walked out after that, just to realize that one whole swarm of taxis are camping along the road between the station and Tampines mall. Flagged a cab. Reached home at about 1.

Day 2 - Saturday, 3rd of May

Met Heng Hock at noon. Had Carl's Junior for lunch. Watched IronMan (not much comments for the movie though). Went to funan to get HH's razor headphone. Had Kuay Chap (粿汁) for dinner. Parted at 7 odd in Bugis MRT. Went to buy bottles of mineral water before heading home after realising that I ran out of gas the previous night and there isn't any electric kettle or boiler.

Day 3 - Sunday, 4th of May

Met JinZhe (aka Ginger ...) at 9 in Tampinse mall. Watched the forbidden kingdom at 11:55 (walked around before that). Hell of a lame show that is. Got a feeling that my money went down the drain after stepping out of the cinema. Parted after that. Met Eden in China Town MRT at 3 in the afternoon. Went to China Square to get his plastic figures which he collects (and he spent more than he intended). Went to Chinatown OG. Bought a Gundam - Destiny Gundam Extreme Blast Mode, Master Grade, SGD $119.90 (please don't comment on the price, time is stringent). Went to Amara shopping center food court. Ordered a mini-pot. Parted at around 6 past 3 at Tanjong Pagar MRT. Went back to Amara shopping center again to get necessities.

Day 4 - Monday, 5th of May

Went back to Geylang Methodist at 6:45 in the morning. The renovation of the old campus is completed. Met a few teachers. Went back to sleep after that. Continue with the Gundam construction after sleeping. Went to Burger King for dinner. Had a Double Whopper since they had stroke off all the Chicken Whoppers even though I am allergic to beef. Gundam after Dinner.

Day 5 - Tuesday, 6th of May

Agree with Davin to meet at 5:30 at Bedok MRT. Met at 6 due to late release of lecturer. Went to Parklane. Had another Mini-pot. Played Pool. Lacked of luck while playing. Went to NTUC for mineral water before heading home and Davin's house before that.

Day 6 - Wednesday, 7th of May

Did nothing the whole day except for Gundam assembling. Went to Burger King for dinner and had a Tendergrill which was made with chicken meat since rashes started to appear, even though the Tendergrill is half as filling.

Day 7 - Thursday, 8th of May

Agreed with Heng Hock to meet at Orchard MRT at 7. Met with HH at seven forty, and the valid excuse given was "army sucks". Went to Seoul Garden at Nee An City. Squid had a bland and revolting taste. Parted at Orchard MRT at 10 plus. Singapore City sleeps early, but not me.

Day 8 - Friday, 9th of May (day of return)

Did not sleep during the previous night due to packing and a quick rush as Gundam assembling since my collection of paint and lacquer cannot be brought back to Hong Kong. Reached Changi Airport at 1. Took cab due to the extensively heavy luggage case (31.2 KG to be exact). Surprised by the fact that my luggage was accepted without extra charge even though the maximum luggage capacity for checking in is only at 20 KG. Went to Burger King for lunch due to having an extra hour to spare. Missed secondary school days while watching students cramming for their exams there. Mistook a cup of white wine as apple juice due to being in the state of half asleep (reminder, I did not sleep at all during the previous night) on board of the flight. Drank the whole cup of wine even though I was allergic to alcohol as not to waste the wine. Tastes bitter. Wondered why people like alcohol. Realised that MegaMan X is the only game playable on the Kris Entertainment system on a SIA plane as the rest are out of my league. Reached home at around 3 past 8 after a huge struggle with the 31.2 KG.
